KBC 16: Gold medalists Avani Lekhara, Navdeep Singh, Sumit Antil win Rs 25 lakhs

In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Paralympic medalists Avani Lekhara, Navdeep Singh, and Sumit Antil appeared as guests. The athletes shared their inspiring stories and collectively won Rs 25 lakh on the show. During the episode, host and superstar Amitabh Bachchan extended an invitation to them to visit his residence.
The episode initially featured only Navdeep and Sumit, but at one point, Big B invited Avani to the hot seat, whom the other two contestants fondly refer to as their ‘Dugnastra.’ After using their first lifeline—Audience Poll—Big B challenged them to answer all 10 questions of the Super Sandook.
He then extended an invitation to them for lunch or dinner at his home in Mumbai. To his surprise, they became the first contestants of the season to answer all 10 questions correctly and win Rs 1 lakh. Big B then said, “I invite you all to my place.”
When Big B asked them the 13th question for Rs 25 lakhs: Which of these is observed on the 24th of July every year in India? The athletes deliberated on the possible answers.
During the discussion, Navdeep confidently ruled out option A. Sumit added, “Sir, Navdeep is an Income Tax officer,” to which Navdeep replied, “I don’t think it’s option A.” They then used the Video Call A Friend lifeline and contacted their mentor, but he couldn’t provide the answer. Taking a risk, Sumit decided to use their final lifeline, Double Dip.
After answering the question correctly, the contestants exited the show with Rs 25 lakhs.
